Abstract

A set top box can dispose the condition of video server's overweight, it includes play-requesting cell, playing cell, detecting overweight condition cell, and standard playing timing cell. The requesting cell sends request to video server; the playing cell plays the film delivered back by video server; the detecting overweight cell detects if the video server is overweighed. The invention also discloses a kind of method used for the regarded set top box to dispose video server's overweight. It can detect the video server's overweight in time, and works out the overweight timing automatically to lighten video server's burden and prevents repeated playing.
