Embodiment Construction

[0031] A preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to FIGS. 4 to 8 . Meanwhile, in the description according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the description of the basic principle, configuration and function of distance measurement using ultrasonic waves familiar to those skilled in the art will be omitted.

[0032] 4 and 5 illustrate a distance measuring method using ultrasonic waves according to the present invention. Among them, Fig. 4 shows the waveform (v(k)) received at 21.6m, and Fig. 5 shows the waveform (w(k)) obtained by convolving the waveform received in Fig. 4 .

[0033] Please refer to FIG. 4 and FIG. 5 , the waveform shown in FIG. 4 is a received signal including distance information to be measured before and after a specific time. This signal is weak and resembles a saturated signal that cannot be identified by traditional methods such as maximum amplitude detection. Therefore, althoug...

Abstract

The present invention provides a distance measurement method and device using ultrasonic waves. The present invention includes sufficiently amplifying a received ultrasonic wave signal and separating a specific frequency from an ultrasonic wave signal mixed with an unnecessary signal to extract an arrival signal of a first pulse. It is thus possible to calculate a distance of an object safely.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a distance measuring method and device using ultrasonic waves. More specifically, the present invention relates to a distance measuring method and device using ultrasonic waves, which measure distance by emitting and detecting ultrasonic signals, and thus are applicable to various distance measuring systems, positioning systems, factory automation (FA), mobile robots and virtual satellites. Background technique [0002] Distance measurement methods can be classified according to contact or non-contact type, range of distance and their use, etc. Distance measurement methods can be classified into long-distance measurement methods or short-distance measurement methods, and precise distance measurement methods according to distance ranges. Long-distance measurement methods include laser method, RF method, IR method, ultrasonic method, CCD method and scale method. Short-distance measurement methods include inductive current meth...
