[0002] The present invention generally relates to amusement rides. More particularly, the present invention relates to tower amusement or carnival rides, sometimes referred to as flat rides, that allow for controlled motion in multiple phases or axes.
[0003] Amusement rides have long been a fixture in amusement parks and carnivals. These ride devices normally consist of a fixed frame structure that supports riders while spinning them around in circles to create positive G, or gravitational acceleration, loads. Riders load and unload at a platform or station onto different vehicle assemblies or carriages that are designed to flip and / or rotate them in different directions.
