[0061]The effectiveness of 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 and, as necessary, 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D2 in restoring serum total 25-hydroxyvitamin D to optimal levels (>30 ng / mL) and serum total 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D to adequate levels (>25 pg / mL) is examined in an open-ended study of adult male and female patients with Stage 4 CKD and secondary hyperparathyroidism associated with vitamin D insufficiency.
