Benefits of technology

The present invention is a portable exercise apparatus with removable and adjustable weights that can be used with either one or two hands. The apparatus has one or more bladders that are easily filled with liquid and attached to a rigid handle with threaded members. The handle has hand openings for easy gripping, and the bladders can be used for various exercise movements. The apparatus is versatile and can be used for both one- and two-handed exercises, as well as one-handed movements. The portable exercise apparatus is lightweight, adjustable, and easy to transport and store.

Problems solved by technology

It can be difficult to travel with conventional dumbbells, as they are typically heavy, by design and necessity.
A significant problem with such liquid or water filled dumbbells is the difficulty of adjusting their weight so as to provide the user with a variety of weight values depending on the exercise routine to be performed.
Another significant problem is that a dumbbell is limited in the scope and variety of exercise possible therewith, and does not offer the same range or scope of exercises as may be desired.
Simple kettle bells and medicine balls are well known in the art as are free-weights and dumbbells, and are useful in some circumstances, but also pose a safety risk as they are often composed of hard iron like materials.

Description

CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS[0001]This application is a continuation-in-part of and claims priority from co-pending U.S. patent application Ser. No. 13 / 718,937 filed Dec. 18, 2012, which is related to and claims priority from U.S. Provisional Patent Application 61 / 583,389, filed Jan. 5, 2012.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION[0002]1. Technical Field[0003]This invention relates to exercise apparatuses, and more particularly to a portable liquid filled exercise apparatus having one or multiple liquid filled bladders affixed to a generally circular or oval shaped handle where the handle configuration enables a plurality of additional exercises that are not possible using a single conventional exercise apparatus system, and provides a safety feature as the components that contain the weight bearing elements, or bladders, are soft and flexible, thereby reducing the risk of injury.[0004]2. Background Art[0005]A wide variety of portable exercise equipment in various forms has been know...
