In geology and geomorphology, an erosion surface is a surface of rock or regolith that was formed by erosion and not by construction (e.g. lava flows, sediment deposition) nor fault displacement. Erosional surfaces within the stratigraphic record are known as unconformities, but not all unconformities are buried erosion surfaces. Erosion surfaces various in scale: it can be formed on a mountain range or a rock. Particularly large and flat erosion surfaces receive the names of peneplain, paleoplain, planation surface or pediplain.

The embodiment of the present application discloses a shale-rich contourite deposit identification and sequence establishment method, device, equipment, medium and program product, the method comprises: identifying the lamina group of shale sample and the lamina of the lamina group; determining the lamina type of the lamina, the lamina type is mud lamina or silt lamina; and based on the grain size variation characteristics corresponding to the lamina group, the characteristics of the lamina type, and the lamina interface form, determining whether the lamina group is a typical lamina group of shale-rich contourite deposit, and identifying the shale sample as shale-rich contourite deposit when the lamina group is a typical lamina group; wherein the texture characteristics of the typical lamina group are the layer lamina type positive texture of carrying erosion surface and small-scale cross-bedding or the interactive horizontal texture of carrying small-scale silt lens. The embodiment of the present application can accurately and quickly identify the shale-rich contourite in the shale without biological disturbance characteristics, and accurately and quickly establish the corresponding shale-rich contourite deposit sequence.
