The invention relates to a test device and method used for researching a
root system three-dimensional architecture. The device comprises a distance determining device and an image collecting device. The distance determining device is used for adjusting the shooting distance and the angle of a
plant root system and comprises a guiding ruler with scales and a distance determining rotating platform fixed to one end of the guiding ruler with the scales. The distance determining rotating platform comprises a movable
rotating disc which rotates around one end of the guiding ruler with the scales, and a
plant placing table is arranged on the movable
rotating disc, wherein a
plant needing
root system observation is placed on the plant placing table. The image collecting device comprises a shooting platform, a digital single-lens
reflex camera and a distortionless
camera lens, wherein the shooting platform can axially slide relative to the guiding ruler with the scales, and the digital single-lens
reflex camera is arranged on the shooting platform. A lens of the digital single-lens
reflex camera faces the plant in the guiding direction of the guiding ruler with the scales, and the distortionless
camera lens is arranged in front of the lens of the digital single-lens reflex camera. The device and method can accurately obtain a high-resolution image of the root
system which is already taken out or the water planting
seedling root
system in a
glass container, and therefore the accurate root
system three-dimension architecture is obtained.
