A stackable blister card, with a longitudinal and a transverse direction, is provided for a patient's weekly medication needs, allowing the medication to be taken in an orderly sequence.The blister card comprises a matrix-shaped arrangement of trough-shaped depressions (cups) for holding the respective medications, arranged according to day of the week (longitudinal direction) and
time of day (transverse direction), wherein the trough-shaped depressions have elongated, rounded thickenings (ridges) along their outer edges and rounded corners and are connected to each other in both the longitudinal and transverse directions by perforations without a reinforcing grid structure, so that all cups can be individually removed from the matrix-shaped arrangement without leaving any residue by
cutting through the perforations; and a circumferential frame formed from four interconnected individual flaps, which has a three-dimensional profile, wherein the individual flaps are connected to each other and to the trough-shaped depressions at the outer edges of the blister card by perforations, and wherein melt heads for attaching a cover card are attached to one individual flap.Furthermore, a packaging unit for holding medication is provided, comprising a blister card as described above, a sealing film placed over it, and a cover card. A method for manufacturing such a packaging unit is also provided.
