This invention discloses a
tunnel boring machine (TBM) with uncontaminated soil, comprising a body, a soil chamber, a cutterhead, a drive
system, and a soil removal
system. The soil chamber is rotatably connected to the front end of the body, and the cutterhead is positioned at the front end of the soil chamber. The drive
system and the soil removal system are located within the body, and the soil removal system discharges soil from the soil chamber. The cutterhead includes a leading cutter, a central column, and multiple spokes. The central column is coaxial with the soil chamber, and the drive system drives the central column to rotate. The multiple spokes are arranged around the outer periphery of the central column, with one end fixed to the central column and the other end inclined towards and fixed to the soil chamber. Multiple toothed cutters for scraping soil are provided on the spokes. The leading cutter is fixed at the front end of the central column. This invention can
cut soil without soil modification or water addition, thus enabling the treatment of uncontaminated soil. A tunneling process using the uncontaminated soil TBM is also disclosed, which can achieve both tunneling operations and
soil treatment, resulting in a significant reduction in overall construction costs.
