This invention relates to the field of low-rise and multi-story buildings, and more particularly to a hybrid structural building system of reinforced masonry blocks and steel internal frames, comprising: reinforced masonry block walls, a steel frame, floor slabs, and connecting nodes. The reinforced masonry block walls include standard blocks, L-shaped sawn blocks, sawn single pieces, and blocks of equal specifications. Inserts are provided within the holes of the blocks, and reinforcing bars are provided in the horizontal mortar joints or tie beams. Concrete is poured into the holes to form core columns. The steel frame is formed by rigidly connecting steel columns and steel beams. The steel beams include beam members, the distal ends of which rest on the reinforced masonry block walls. This invention achieves an organic unity of high seismic performance, good sound and heat insulation, and flexible large-span interior space arrangement. It solves the problems of existing pure steel frame structures, such as large steel consumption, high cost, poor sound and heat insulation, and difficulty in concealing steel columns, as well as the shortcomings of pure reinforced masonry structures, such as dense interior load-bearing walls, limited space layout, and difficulty in later demolition and modification.
