Abstract

This method includes: firstly, the terminal (TM) stores the neighboring area info (NAI) received from F_SCH (FS) into the NAI buffer. Then, when FS generates a hard-switching, TM renews the record in the NAI selected series (NSS) with the newly received NAI in the NAI buffer according to the comparison result comparing with a record in NSS. Further, when TM receives NAI from FS or the activating set changes, TM combines selectively the record in NSS with the current record in NAI buffer to form a supplement neighboring set (SNS). Finely, SNS is used to replace the original neighboring area set. This invention raises the success rate of searching the useful leading frequency when the traditional group-calling terminal actively switches. It also lowers the probability of call-cut due to the delay renewing of the TM NAI.
