Abstract

The invention discloses a height adjusting mechanism which is suitable for an extension base with a shell body. The extension base is arranged on a bearing surface through the height adjusting mechanism. The height adjusting mechanism comprises an adjusting block, a shaft, an elastic component and an adjusting handle. The adjusting block is provided with a first surface and a second surface whichare mutually connected. The shaft is pivoted and arranged in the shell body and perforates the adjusting block. The first surface and the second surface are relatively parallel with the shaft. The first surface keeps a first distance with the shaft. The second surface keeps a second distance which is different from the first distance with the shaft. The elastic component is arranged between the adjusting block and the shell body. The adjusting handle is arranged outside the shell body and is connected with the shaft. When the adjusting handle is placed at a first place, the first surface is contacted with the bearing surface. When the adjusting handle is rotated from the first place to a second place, the second surface is contacted with the bearing surface.
