Abstract

An image device for capturing a still image and a control method thereof are provided. The image device includes a storage unit for storing compressed pictures of a moving image, and a control unit for extracting at least one of the compressed pictures, which corresponds to a scene selected from the moving image being displayed, from the storage unit.
