Abstract

The present invention provides a remote controller for remotely controlling a broadcast receiving device including a wireless receiving unit. The remote controller includes: a first sensing unit for sensing an external touch; a second sensing unit provided adjacent to the first sensing unit for sensing an external touch; and a data processing unit for sensing an external touch according to the first sensing unit. A touch sequence between the first sensing unit and the second sensing unit detects a touch direction, and outputs a channel search signal for sequentially searching channels according to a predetermined order corresponding to the touch direction; and a wireless transmission unit for wirelessly transmitting the channel search signal sent to broadcast receivers.
