A processing method and a system for the selling and purchasing information of self-help insurance services facing to the consumer relate to an information processing method and a system based on network; the method includes the following steps: a network system which includes a terminal and a server is built; the consumer inputs insurance service information and identification distinguishing information which are required; the server prompts and requires the consumer to confirm on the terminal after receiving the information and verifying; the consumer confirms; the consumer pays the cost through the terminal; the server transmits a policy or an insurance certificate comprising the number information of the policy and the data of charge bill to the terminal after receiving the information; the policy or the insurance certificate and the charge bill are printed by the terminal. The system includes the terminal and the server. A terminal device includes a CPU and a power circuit, a memorizer, input and output parts as well as an identification distinguishing part which are connected with the CPU. The output part includes a display screen, a policy or an insurance certificate printing part and a charge bill printing part; and the input part includes a charge input part.
