Abstract

The present invention provides an installation structure of engine cover, which can restrain the breakage of cover side fixing part of engine cover when the engine cover is detached from a projection at engine side. When the engine cover (1) is installed on a projection (21) which extends from the engine component side through a backing ring (3) formed by elastic body, the cover side fixing part (12) comprises the following components: a surrounding wall part (16) which is set vertically from the cover body (1); a base (18) which is connected with the surrounding wall part (16); and an inosculating hole (13) which is formed on the base (18) and is inosculated with the backing ring (3). The backing ring (3) is provided with an inserting hole (31) that is inserted with the projection (21). The periphery part of blocking ring (3) is provided with a fastening part (32) which fastens with the periphery (13c) of the inosculating hole (13). Two notches (14) and (15) which extend from the inosculating hole (13) to the radial external direction of inosculating hole (13) are formed on the cover side fixing part (12).
