Abstract

A biological observation system comprises illuminating means for illuminating an object to be imaged by directing broadband lights and at least one narrowband light to the object of an organism sequentially as illuminating lights, imaging means for capturing images of the illuminated object and outputting imaging signals, first image creating means for creating first observation images corresponding to the respective broadband lights from the imaging signals and second observation images corresponding to at least one of the broadband lights and the at least one narrowband light by a predetermined signal processing, and second image creating means for combining the first and second observation images into one image.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a biological body observation system, in particular to a biological body observation system which can display two observation images together on the same display unit. Background technique [0002] Conventionally, an endoscope system including an endoscope, a light source device, and the like has been widely used in the medical field and the like. In particular, an endoscope system in the medical field is mainly used by a surgeon or the like to observe a living body as a subject. [0003] In addition, as a generally known method of observation using an endoscope system in the medical field, for example, in addition to normal observation, there is narrow-band light observation (NBI: Narrow Band Imaging). A subject is irradiated with white light to capture an image of the subject that is approximately the same as observed with the naked eye. In this narrow-band light observation, the subject is irradiated with light havi...
