[0032] Example: Comparison of properties between quadrilateral cross-section fiber conveyor belts and circular cross-section fiber conveyor belts

[0033]In order to illustrate the advantages of the present invention, in this embodiment, fibers with circular cross-section and square cross-section are respectively used to carry out related performance tests with surface glues of different thicknesses. The samples to be tested and related parameters are shown in Table 1:

Abstract

The invention provides a conveyer belt. The invention is to weave quadrilateral section fibers into grey cloth which is then used for manufacturing the conveyer belt. The manufactured conveyer belt can achieve the effect of light weight due to reduction of the use amount of a surface adhesive, and both the tensile strength and the elongation at break are better than those of a conveyer belt which is manufactured by utilization of circular section fiber fabric.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a lightweight conveyor belt, and further, the present invention relates to the use of quadrilateral cross-section fibers in the manufacture of conveyor belts. Background technique [0002] Most of the traditional man-made fibers have a circular cross-section. When these fibers are stacked, there are still many gaps between the fibers, resulting in easy rolling and sliding between the fibers, which will be detrimental to the strength and durability of the fabric. Generally known technologies often coat resin on the surface of the fabric, or use high-shrinkage fiber weaving to achieve the effect of reducing the gap between fibers; but using a large amount of resin will not only cause environmental problems such as environmental pollution, but also increase the cost of fabric manufacturing. On the other hand, how to control the final fabric density or basis weight after the shrinkage treatment of fabrics made of high-shrin...
