Abstract

The invention relates to an apparatus for transporting substrates in an automatic assembler. The apparatus comprises a collecting means for collecting substrates; a first transporting means for transporting substrates to the collecting means. The collecting means includes at least a part of sections for receiving some dispensed substrates, wherein sections are sequentially disposed on the transporting direction of the substrate. Moreover, substrates can be disposed alternately on the opposite position with each other in discrete gratings, and subsequently be transported by a first transporting means, wherein original relative positions between substrates are kept. Substrates can be collected in a simple manner by the apparatus, so as to subsequently transporting these substrates all together. Because substrates are disposed in discrete gratings in the collecting process, it is not likely to push the substrate together when ordered in a line. And reliability of the process is evidentlyenhanced.
