Abstract

The invention discloses a relay agent generation method, single boards and network equipment, belonging to the communications field. The method comprises: transmitting radio news signifying principal board support for the relay agent after probing that a single board is connected with the dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) server; receiving the relay agent request transmitted by a single board needing relay agent after receiving the radio news; judging whether or not to accept the relay agent requestor not; if yes, being used as the relay agent of the single board needing relay agent. The single board comprises a detection module, a broadcasting module, a first receiving module and a processing module; network equipment comprises one or a plurality of single boards. In the invention, the single board probed to be connected with the DHCP server and the single board needing relay agent select each other, thus realizing dynamic generation of the relay agent; the relay agent is generated inside the network equipment and the communication between the single boards is performed inside the network equipment, thus having the effects of intranet and extranet separation and safety assurance.
