Embodiment Construction

[0015] There are strong edges at the junction of the human body contour and the background in the image. The existing human detection algorithm has proved that the edge at the junction of the human body contour and the background is important information for human body detection; and the gradient of a single pixel point is not very strong. In addition, it is also sensitive to noise and changes in the appearance of different human body poses. The present invention uses the normalized histogram of gradient (HOG, histogram of gradient) distribution of a rectangular area as a feature to construct a classifier.

[0016] In order to avoid calculating the edge direction histogram feature multiple times, the present invention only adopts a feature definition method of a large and small area. In this way, the edge direction histogram feature is first calculated once for the image, and then the edge direction histogram feature of the rectangular window at each position is extracted. Abstract

The invention provides a method and a system for human detection. The method comprises the following steps: extracting all the edge orientation histogram (EOH) features of a first rectangular region with the width thereof being a first width and the height thereof being the first height from a sample image; training according to all the EOH features of the first rectangular region by using a classifier training algorithm, to obtain a human classifier; scaling the original image to be detected to images to be detected on a series of scales according to scaling factors; extracting all the EOH features of a second rectangular region with the width thereof being the first width and the height thereof being the first height from the images to be detected on a series of scales; judging all the EOH features of the second rectangular region by the human classifier obtained from training, so as to detect the candidate region of human positions in the original image to be detected; and carryingout the post-treatment on the candidate region of the human positions in the original image to be detected, so as to detect the region of the human position in the original image to be detected.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of pattern recognition, in particular to a human body detection method and system. Background technique [0002] Human detection is an important research topic in the field of computer vision. As a front-end step of intelligent video analysis, it has important application value in intelligent monitoring, driver assistance systems, content-based video retrieval, and advanced human-machine interfaces. The main goal of human detection is to realize the automatic detection of human objects in static images or moving videos. According to the utilization of human body knowledge, human body detection technology is divided into two categories: feature-based human body detection and pattern classification-based human body detection. The human body detection technology based on pattern classification uses the method of statistical learning to automatically learn the knowledge of human body model from samples, and regards human...
