Abstract

An information extracting method, a registering device, a collating device and a program are proposed to improve authentication accuracy with information quantity of an identifying subject suppressed.The information extracting method generates, from a plurality of images regarded surroundings of a subject portion of a living body as viewing points, a common portion silhouette in the subject portion of the living body reflected on the images on a subject space as a three-dimensional image and is set to extract a value expressing sectional shapes for a plurality of three-dimensional images having predetermined position relationships with respect to the reference position of the three-dimensional image as identification information. While expressing a part of sections in the three-dimensional image of the subject portion of the living body, the information extracting method extracts identification data regarded as a section that has a certain relationship with the reference position in an external form of the three-dimensional image, so that it can express the three-dimensional image discretely.
