Embodiment Construction

[0031] Flow chart of the present invention, as Figure 5 Shown:

[0032] First, step 501 is performed to calculate image features and determine whether scene switching occurs.

[0033] The specific execution process of step 501 is as follows: Figure 6 Shown:

[0034] In step 601, the gradient change value in the horizontal direction of the current coded image is calculated:

[0035] where MAGh c is the absolute sum of gradients in the horizontal direction of the current coded frame, MAGh p is the absolute value sum of gradients in the horizontal direction of the last coded frame, MAGh c and MAGh p The calculation method is the same as:

[0036] MAGh = Σ i W Σ j H | I ij - I i , j + 1 ...

Abstract

The invention relates to a scene switching code rate control method which comprises the following steps: judging whether the current coded image occurs the scene switching or not; and calculating quantization parameters which are applicable to a scene switching frame and using the quantization parameters for encoding if the scene switching occurs. The method can be conveniently integrated in a variety of prior video encoding standards. Compared with a variety of prior methods, the differences are as follows: the method does not change a GOP structure for encoding, does not re-distribute code rate, and directly calculates the quantization parameters for the scene switching frame.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to encoding technology, in particular to a scene switching code rate control method. Background technique [0002] In order to save transmission bandwidth and storage space, support applications such as digital TV broadcasting, remote monitoring, digital video on demand, wireless multimedia communication, etc., video coding has become one of the hotspots in research and industrial applications at home and abroad. So far, a series of video coding standards have been formulated internationally, such as MPEG-1 / 2 / 4, H.261 / H.263, H.264 / AVC, and the domestic AVS video coding standard is currently being developed and improved. Among them, compared with the previous standards, H.264 / AVC and AVS have similar coding frameworks, but their compression efficiency is at least double that of any previous standard, and are suitable for application in more scenarios. figure 1 An encoding framework for video encoding.
