Abstract

The invention relates to a method for automatic adding a label to a photo according to photo contents and geographic information, which comprises the following steps: shooting photo through a camera with a personal navigation device to generate a geographic label associated with the photo, adding the geographic label to the photo to produce a positioned photo, transmitting the positioned photo to an optical OCR server, implementing optical character identification, generating image description labels according to identification results, selecting an image description label, adding the selected image description label to the positioned photo, and uploading the positioned photo with the added image description label to a photo sharing server. Therefore, the photo can be searched according to the geographic label or the image description label.
