Abstract

Synchronization method for Partial Failure Handling (PFH), which includes the following steps: when a User Equipment (UE) moves to a new Mobility Management Entity (MME), the new MME sends the PFH capability information of itself to the original MME in the context delivery procedure; when the original MME determines, according to the received PFH capability information, that the new MME does not support the PFH function, it initiates an association and synchronization operation for the PFH to the Service Gateway (S-GW) and the Packet data network Gateway (P-GW). The present invention also discloses a synchronization system for PFH, which enables the S-GW or the P-GW to synchronize the Packet Date Network (PDN) connection associated with the Fully Qualified PDN Connection Set Identity (FQ-CSID), thus allowing correct release of the PDN connection resources corresponding to the S-GW or the P-GW.
