The method can obtain a standing wave ratio and the location of a cable fault point and realize the standing wave detection and the breakpoint locating of the antenna mouth cable without adding hardware costs and only with adding small amounts of computation. Moreover, various kinds of existing wireless products can realize the function through software updating. The maintenance and detection personnel can detect and locate a fault without carrying heavy and expensive instruments, and perform standing wave detection without taking apart the cable connector.
