Embodiment Construction

[0077] The techniques described below can be used in various wireless communication systems such as Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA), Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA), Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA), Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA), Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access (SC-FDMA), etc. CDMA may be implemented using a radio technology such as Universal Terrestrial Radio Access (UTRA) or CDMA-2000. TDMA may be implemented using a radio technology such as Global System for Mobile communications (GSM) / General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) / Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution (EDGE). OFDMA may be implemented using wireless technologies such as Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.11 (Wi-Fi), IEEE 802.16 (WiMAX), IEEE 802.20, Evolved UTRA (E-UTRA), and the like. UTRA is part of the Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS). 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) Long Term Evolution (LTE) is a pa...

Abstract

A method for transmitting an ACK / NACK signal in a wireless communication system includes: a step to allocate wireless resources, and a step to transmit an ACK / NACK signal through an ACK channel at a location determined from an index for the wireless resources. The wireless resource includes at least one resource unit which is a basic unit for resource allocation, and is either a local resource unit which includes an adjacent subcarrier in a frequency region or a distributed resource unit which includes a distributed subcarrier in a frequency region. An index of the local resource unit is mapped as an index of the ACK channel as it is, and an index of the distributed index is mapped as the index of the ACK channel according to a permutation method.

[0001] Cross References to Related Applications [0002] This application claims U.S. Provisional Application No. 61 / 032,429 filed February 29, 2008, U.S. Provisional Patent Application No. 61 / 032,430 filed January 29, 2008, U.S. Provisional Application No. .61 / 104,761 and Korean Patent Application No. 10-2009-0005967 filed Jan. 23, 2009, all of which are hereby incorporated by reference in their entirety. technical field [0003] The present application relates to wireless communications, and more particularly to methods of transmitting acknowledgment (ACK) / negative acknowledgment (NACK) signals. Background technique [0004] An error compensation scheme is used to ensure communication reliability. Examples of error compensation schemes include Forward Error Correction (FEC) schemes and Automatic Repeat Request (ARQ) schemes. In the FEC scheme, errors are corrected at the receiving end by appending additional error correction codes to information bits. In the ARQ scheme,...
