A projection module which is connected with the display control module is arranged inside the host. The method includes that the display control module acquires an image output by the host and the display area for displaying the image, the image is adjusted according to a preset display strategy, and at least a part of display contents of the image already adjusted are displayed on the display area through the projection module. The embodiment of the invention ensures the double-screen display and meanwhile reduces the weight of the portable terminal.
