Abstract

The invention discloses an image transformation method for coding and decoding. The method comprises the following steps of: acquiring a residual matrix between an original image and a predictive image; performing horizontal integer transformation and vertical integer transformation on the acquired residual matrix to acquire integer transformation data; compensating error between the acquired integer transformation data and discrete cosine transform (DCT) of the residual matrix by using a compensation matrix, wherein each element of the compensation matrix is a rational number which is close to 1; and multiplying the compensated integer transformation by a scale factor for controlling compensation accuracy to acquire image-transformed data. The scheme of the invention makes frequency domain characteristics of a core matrix of the integer transformation closer to the DCT on the basis of increasing partial computation complexity, so that the compression effect on useful information in a transformation and quantification process can be improved to a certain extent.
