Abstract

The invention provides a system and method for transcoding a multimedia and a system and method for playing the multimedia. The method for transcoding the multimedia comprises the following steps of: carrying out audio-video stream separation on a multimedia source file and decoding and transcoding the separated audio stream and video stream; acquiring an encryption mode of setting and encrypting the multimedia by adopting a corresponding encryption algorithm according to the encryption mode; and synthesizing the transcoded audio stream and video stream and outputting the encrypted multimedia file. By adopting the system and method for transcoding the multimedia, the illegal use and copy of the multimedia can be prevented and the privacy and the copyright of the user can be effectively protected. The invention also provides the system and method for playing the transcoded multimedia.
