Abstract

The invention discloses an intelligent energy-saving traffic signal lamp device and a control method thereof. The device comprises an LED display array plate (1), an LED drive chip (2), an MCU (Microprogrammed Control Unit) processing unit (3), a data transmission unit (4) and a power supply unit (5), wherein an annular part (16) of the LED display array plate (1) is provided with at least one ambient light detector (12), and an inner panel (13) of the LED display array plate (1) is provided with an indication lamp unit (11) at least integrating red and green colors of LEDs into a whole. The method comprises the steps of: configuring and storing a working mode and a working parameter of a signal lamp, and controlling LED combined illumination on the LED display array plate by the LED drive chip according to the working mode and the working parameter. The invention integrates displays of a plurality of traffic signals into a whole, thereby reducing the quantity of the signal lamps and lowering the influence brought by the failure of the LEDs and the cost because the brightness of the signal lamps can be automatically regulated.
