Abstract

The invention relates to a method for operating a water-carrying household appliance, especially a dishwasher or a tumble dryer, comprising a plurality of successive partial program steps, a first medium being heated at least temporarily by a first heating element (24) in at least one partial program step, and the product to be treated then being heated by being subjected to the heated first medium. According to the invention, when the first heating element (24) is inactive, a second medium is at least temporarily heated by a second heating element (23) and the product to be treated is heated by the heated second medium.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a method for operating a household appliance, in particular a dishwasher or a tumble dryer, which operates with water, according to the preamble of claim 1 . Background technique [0002] DE 10 2005 004 089 A1 discloses a method for operating a water-operated household appliance, namely a dishwasher. An adsorption device comprising a reversibly dehydratable material is provided as a drying system which removes and stores a certain amount of water from the air to be dried during the drying step. In a subsequent cleaning step, a reduction process or a desorption process is carried out, in which the air stream flowing through the dry substance is heated by an air heater. The water stored in this dry mass is released in the form of hot water vapor together with the flow of hot air and returned to the washing vessel while the items to be washed are heated. However, this heating is time-consuming. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION...
