Abstract

The invention discloses a residual power display system and a residual power display method for an electric vehicle. The system comprises a motor controller of the electric vehicle, a motor, a battery component, a voltage detector, a display and a processor, wherein the motor is controlled by the motor controller; and the battery component is used for supplying power to the motor and the motor controller. The processor obtains an initial voltage value corresponding to the battery component by utilizing the voltage detector, obtains the rotating speed of the motor from the motor controller to calculate the speed per hour of the electric vehicle, compares the speed per hour with a predetermined speed per hour threshold value and determines to display the initial voltage value on the display according to a comparison result, or obtains the output voltage value of the battery component periodically from the voltage detector, calculates an average voltage value periodically, and selects a low average voltage value and displays the low average voltage value on the display.
