Abstract

Access control equipment prevents data transmission between unauthorized initiator-target on a bus. Access permission of every initiator in relation to every target is identified by maintaining a permission matrix. Access equipment monitors the bus and determines the identifiers of the initiator and the expected target. If the initiator includes appropriate access authority to the target, bus communication is permitted, otherwise, the communication is blocked off and an error signal is sent. As far as the access control equipment is concerned, the identifiers of local initiators are transmitted to the access control equipment through the direct wired connection to every initiator, in order to further achieve the safety. The access control method of the invention is applied to bus system requiring access protection.
