Abstract

Disclosed are a resource configuration method for a streaming media service, a user service terminal and a head end system. The method comprises: when the streaming media service is in a valid state, determining whether the current time exceeds an invalid time of the streaming media service; if the current time exceeds the invalid time of the streaming media service, setting the state of the streaming media service as an invalid state, and recording interruption information of the streaming media service; and sending a broadcast stop request to a head end system, so as to request the head end system to stop allocating resources for the streaming media service. By applying the embodiments of the present invention, when a user turns off a player terminal or leaves for a long time and no longer views the streaming media content, the streaming media service is determined to be invalid, so that the head end system stops broadcasting the streaming media to the user service terminal, thereby saving the occupation on the system resources by the player terminal.
