The invention relates to a pole tower for a power transmission line of a power grid, comprising a main pole and at least one cross arm, wherein the cross arms are arranged on the main pole; the main pole is made of metal materials; each cross arm comprises a hollow insulating pole and a shed, wherein the shed is arranged at the outer side of the insulating pole and made of vulcanizing silicone rubber; one end of the hollow insulating pole is connected with the main pole, and the other end is connected with a suspended hardware tool; the suspended hardware tool extends along the axial direction of the cross arm and is used for arranging the power transmission line; and the hollow insulating pole is manufactured by soaking glass fiber yarns in resin materials. By using the cross arm made from composite materials as a supporting member of the power transmission line, the pole tower for the power transmission line of the power grid can directly suspend the power transmission line on the cross arm because an insulating umbrella body is arranged outside the cross arm so that the usage of an insulating substring is eliminated, thereby the total height of the pole tower is reduced and then the cost and the weight of the pole tower are decreased.
