Abstract

The invention discloses a method for providing services, a service agency device and a policy and charging rules function device. The method for providing services comprises: receiving service requests for requiring provision of services; determining at least one AF (application function) relevant to the services according to the service requests; determining the demand information of QoS (quality of service) of the at least one AF; sending QoS authorization requests to PCRF (policy and charging rules function), wherein the QoS authorization requests carry the demand information of QoS of each AF; and receiving the authorization success response sent by the PCRF to provide the services through the at least one AF, wherein the authorization success response carries the authorization for the demand information of QoS of each AF. The service agency device comprises a first receiving module, a first conforming module, a second confirming module, a sending module and a second receiving module. The policy and charging rules function device comprises a receiving module and a sending module. According to the method and device provided by the invention, through centrally controlling the QoS requests by SB (service broker), the developing cost and the operation cost can be lowered.
