Abstract

The invention relates to a contraposition system used in a stereo display device and a contraposition method thereof. In the contraposition system, an image capture apparatus is used to respectively acquire a contraposition deviation image comprising locations of a first image capture point and a second image capture point after a micro-retarder is attached to a partial area of a liquid crystal display panel. And contraposition deviation image information is transmitted to a contraposition control device. The contraposition control device calculates a first contraposition deviation distance and a second contraposition deviation distance from the contraposition deviation image and a deviation angle of the micro-retarder and the liquid crystal display panel. Therefore, at least one of a attaching apparatus and a bearing apparatus is controlled to adjust and compensate the deviation angle. The areas which are not attached with the micro-retarder in the liquid crystal display panel are attached with the micro-retarder. Therefore, by using the system and the method of the invention, a yield rate of the stereo display device can be increased and costs can be reduced.
