Abstract

The invention discloses a method and device for transmitting bandwidth information, which are used for transmitting bandwidth information in a CoMP system. The method comprises the steps: a base station determines a transmission bandwidth based on the condition that UE is needed to obtain downlink data or reference signals of the bandwidth information in a plurality of cells; the base station sends the determined indication information of the transmission bandwidth corresponding to the corresponding downlink data or reference signals to the UE; and the base station determines physical resources required to be occupied by the reference signals and sequences of the reference signals according to the transmission bandwidth determined aiming at the reference signals, transmits the sequences of the reference signals on the physical resources, or the base station determines physical resources occupied by the downlink data according to the transmission bandwidth determined aiming at the downlink data, sends indication information of the physical resources to the UE and then transmits the downlink data on the physical resources.
