The fabric analysis system comprises a lighting device, an optical observation imaging system, a signal acquisition control system, a fabric image analysis module and a computer and is characterized in that a biaxial mechanical stretching device is used for performing biaxial mechanical stretching on a fabric sample, so that tissue structures of the fabric sample are clear; the lighting device is used for lighting the fabric sample; the optical observation imaging system is used for photographing an image of the fabric sample; the image is input into the computer through the signal acquisition control system; the signal acquisition control system is used for acquiring and controlling the image of the fabric sample and a signal; the fabric image analysis module is used for performing tissue point region identification, tissue type analysis, dyed yarn arrangement analysis, counting of weft and warp density and proportional recovery calculation on the image of the fabric sample to obtain a total fabric analysis result. The fabric analysis system is convenient for measurement and identification of tissue types, yarn colors and weft and warp densities of fabrics comprising complicated fabrics and can improve the automation degree and the precision of fabric analysis.

The system includes at least one source of electromagnetic radiation disposed on one side of the fibrous material web, at least one sensor for sensing the electromagnetic radiation emitted by the at least one source disposed on another side of the fibrous material web, and at least one optical device disposed between the at least one source and the at least one sensor, wherein the electromagnetic radiation travels through the at least one optical device and the fibrous material web such that the at least one optical device influences a propagation of the electromagnetic radiation as a function of its polarization properties. The method includes exposing a first side of the fibrous material web to electromagnetic radiation from at least one source, allowing the electromagnetic radiation to penetrate to a second side of the fibrous material web, influencing a propagation of the electromagnetic radiation as a function of its polarization properties with at least one optical device disposed between the at least one source and at least one sensor, and sensing the electromagnetic radiation on the second side with the at least one sensor.

Ultra rapid conditioning of cotton fiber for testing and processing

<heading lvl="0">Abstract of Disclosure</heading> Machines for ultra-rapidly conditioning cotton fiber. In one embodiment, a machine includes a conditioning chamber for receiving cotton fiber formed into a sheet-like body. The conditioning chamber is defined on one side by an impervious plate and on an opposite side by a perforated plate. The sheet-like body of cotton fiber is pressed between the impervious and perforated plates. An air conditioner is connected for driving a conditioned gas flow through the perforations and then laterally through the sheet-like body of cotton fiber. In another embodiment, a conditioning chamber is defined on one side by an impervious plate and on an opposite side by a distribution plate having a series of alternating passages connected for respectively delivering gas flow to the cotton and for allowing gas flow to exit from the cotton. As a result, relatively short path lengths are achieved. An air conditioner is connected for driving a conditioned gas flow through the passages for delivering gas flow. In a processing embodiment for conditioning fiber being pneumatically transported by a gas flow, fibers are collected to form a thin mat. Aerosolized liquid is delivered to the thin mat, and then conditioned fiber from the thin mat is re-delivered into the gas flow.
