The method comprises: a base station determining a transmission bandwidth based on downlink data or a reference signal for which a UE is required to learn bandwidth information in a plurality of coordinated multipoint cells; the base station sending to the UE the indication information of the determined transmission bandwidth corresponding to the corresponding downlink data or reference signal; and the base station determining, according to the transmission bandwidth determined based on the reference signal, a physical resource to be occupied by the reference signal and a sequence of the reference signal, and transmitting the sequence of the reference signal on the physical resource, or the base station determining, according to the transmission bandwidth determined based on the downlink data, a physical resource to be occupied by the downlink data, sending the indication information of the physical resource to the UE, and then transmitting the downlink data on the physical resource.
