The invention provides a manufacturing method of a housing, which comprises the steps as follows: a matrix is provided; and primary vacuum coating treatment is conducted on the matrix, so as to form a bottom color layer on the surface of the matrix; high temperature adhesive tape with openings corresponding to established graphics is provided; the high temperature adhesive tape is stuck on the bottom color layer; secondary vacuum coating treatment is conducted on the matrix on which the high temperature adhesive tape is stuck, so as to form a pattern layer at least on the openings of the bottom color layer, wherein the color of the pattern layer is different from that of the bottom color layer; and the high temperature adhesive tape is torn off, and the pattern layer in the openings is enabled to be reserved on the bottom color layer to form patterns. The method has the advantage of simplicity and environmental protection. The invention further provides the housing manufactured by adopting the method.
