A method for positioning the dome camera comprises the following steps that: the capacitive touch display screen converts different touch motions of fingers into corresponding electric signals; the capacitive touch display screen transmits the electric signals to the decoder; and the decoder converts the received electric signals into corresponding control signals and sends the control signals to the MCU of the dome camera.
