Problems solved by technology

[0003] At present, most of the projected naked-eye three-dimensional display devices that have been put into industrialization are complex in structure, requiring a large number of projectors and control circuits, often resulting in a large cost and complex structure in exchange for a limited horizontal field of view, so there is no specific practical application
Moreover, the image displayed by a single naked-eye stereoscopic display has low resolution, few and discontinuous viewing angles, and insufficient depth perception, which make it lack of innovation in the field of virtual reality.

Embodiment Construction

[0017] The steps of the horizontal large field of view three-dimensional display method based on spliced light field are as follows:

[0018] 1) The three-dimensional scene to be displayed is described in three-dimensional space using the method of spatial light field tracing, and analyzed into a series of parallel projection image sources required for viewing from different viewpoint positions along the horizontal direction to the plane directional scattering screen;

[0019] 2) Using multi-projection display units arranged horizontally along the same plane to project, the image source required for viewing at the corresponding viewpoint is projected to the back of the plane directional scattering screen to form a series of images, and the images are oriented through the plane After the scattering screen, it only diffuses along the longitudinal direction, so that the human eye can only observe a series of vertical images;

[0020] 3) The multi-projection display unit is imag...

Abstract

The invention discloses transverse wide-visual field tridimensional display method and system based on a spliced light field. The method comprises the steps of: obtaining image sources necessary for aligned observation of different view points in the transverse direction of a tridimensional scene; utilizing a plurality of projection display units to project a planar directional diffuser screen in an alignment manner; and enabling an observer to move along the transverse direction to view different transverse parts of the tridimensional scene spliced by vertical images formed by the aligned projection of different projection display units so as to realize transverse wide-visual field tridimensional display. The system comprises a projection tridimensional display unit, a planar directional diffuser screen and a control computer. The projection unit is structured by pixel region division of a two-dimensional display unit and a corresponding lens and aperture array right ahead, and the planar directional diffuser screen is projected in an alignment manner. The method and system disclosed by the invention have the advantages of being capable of generating a tridimensional image with fine transverse parallax capable of being observed in a wide view field range in the transverse direction. Compared with the single naked eye stereoscopic display, the multi-screen splicing arrangement can expand the view angle and increase the spatial scale and enjoyment range of the tridimensional image.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a three-dimensional display method, in particular to a method and system for three-dimensional display with a large transverse field of view based on spliced light fields. Background technique [0002] Display technology is developing towards high-definition, three-dimensional panoramic display. The difference between three-dimensional display and traditional two-dimensional display is to bring visual depth perception to the viewer through various methods, so that it can naturally and unnaturally obtain the third-dimensional information in the picture. Many 3D display technologies at home and abroad can generally be divided into two types: holographic 3D display and non-holographic 3D display. Holographic three-dimensional display is known as the ideal three-dimensional display method in the future because it is a true three-dimensional information recording and display, but it requires a high-resolution spatial ligh...
