Abstract

The invention discloses an MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) codebook indicator feedback method and a corresponding device, which belong to the communication field. The method comprises the following steps: obtaining a first codebook indicator and a second codebook indicator; and feeding back both if the number of the transmission layers is less than or equal to that of pre-arranged layers, otherwise, feeding back only the first codebook indicator. The device comprises an acquisition module and a feedback module. According to the invention, only the first codebook indicator is fed back, if the number of the transmission layers is larger than that of the pre-arranged layers, so that the byte numbers for feeding back the second codebook indicator are saved, which allows the byte numbers for feeding back the codebook indicators to be greatly reduced under the condition that the number of the transmission layers is larger than that of the pre-arranged layers, and the feedback quality is improved at effectively reduced feedback expense.
