Abstract

The invention relates to a tiltable converter having a suspension system comprising pendulum bars (3) which are each connected by one end on the converter vessel (1) and by the other end on the bearing ring (2) by means of spherical pendulum bar bearings, articulated on all sides. According to the invention, the spherical pendulum bar bearings have bolts (7) passing through the pendulum bars (3) on which the pendulum bars (3) are spatially mounted in a pivoting manner, wherein each bolt (7) is supported on both sides of the pendulum bar (3) via support brackets (4) on the converter vessel (1) or on the bearer ring (2) and the bolts (7) are mounted in the support brackets (4) by means of spherical support bracket bearings. The openings of the support brackets (4), through which the bolts (7) pass through and in which the spherical support bracket bearings are arranged, are covered by covers (8) on the sides thereof facing away from the pendulum bar (3).
