Problems solved by technology

[0004] In this way, in a WLAN network, the scanning of each STA and the response of each AP to the scanning of each STA when it determines that there is a network that meets the access conditions of each STA will occupy a large amount of air interface resources, especially in a network with few non-overlapping channels. In the 802.11g radio frequency network, this waste of air interface resources is even more serious, which affects the network service quality of the wireless LAN

Embodiment 1

[0046] see figure 1 ,figure 1 It is a flowchart of the method provided by Embodiment 1 of the present invention. Since 802.11a radio frequencies are all non-overlapping channels, while 802.11g or 802.11gn radio frequencies have overlapping channels, in order to more clearly reflect the effect of the present invention, this process can be applied to the networking of 802.11g or 802.11gn radio frequencies. Preferably, the networking may adopt an architecture combining a wireless access controller (AC: Access Controller) and a thin (Fit) AP.

[0047] In this way, based on the networking structure for the combination of AC and Fit AP, as follows figure 1 As shown, the process may include the following steps:

[0048] Step 101, when the AP receives the scan message initiated by the STA for the first time, it sets up a scan entry corresponding to the STA, and responds to the STA with a scan response message; the scan entry includes: the identification information of the STA, the l...

Embodiment 2

[0064] So far, the description of Embodiment 1 is completed. Embodiment 2 is described below:

[0065] Example 2

[0066] The difference between this embodiment and Embodiment 1 is that the way of obtaining the scanning time interval ΔT of the STA is different, specifically as figure 2 Shown:

[0067] see figure 2 , figure 2 It is a flow chart of the method provided by Embodiment 2 of the present invention. Such as figure 2 As shown, the process may include the following steps:

[0068] Step 201, when the AP receives the scan message initiated by the STA for the first time, it establishes a scan entry corresponding to the STA, and responds to the STA with a scan response message; the scan entry includes: the identification information of the STA, the latest response The time T for scanning messages and the scanning interval ΔT for STAs;

[0069] In this embodiment, the scanning time interval ΔT is initially a preset initial value, such as a null value NULL, indicat...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for scanning wireless networks, and a device for realizing thereof. The method comprises: an AP (access point) establishing a scan table item of an STA (station) when receiving a scanning message sent by the STA for the first time, responding a scan responding message to the STA; the scan table item being used for recording STA identification information, a receipt time T of the scanning message responded at a last time, and a scanning time interval [delta]T of the STA; and when the AP subsequentially receiving a scanning message sent by the STA, determining a time when the scanning message is received at present, and determining whether the T and the [delta]T recorded in the scan table item satisfy preset inhibiting response conditions, if satisfy, not responding to the scanning message which is received at present, otherwise, sending the scan responding message to the STA, and meanwhile updating the T in the scan table item of the STA. A channel of the AP receiving the scanning message is a working channel of the AP, or any channel overlapped with the working channel of the AP. With the method and the device, unwanted vent resource waste can be prevented.

Description

technical field [0001] The present application relates to network communication technology, in particular to a wireless network scanning method and an implementation device thereof. Background technique [0002] In a wireless local area network (WLAN: Wireless Local Area Network), the client (STA: Station) needs to regularly scan the network to determine the network conditions of the wireless access point (AP: Access Point) that it accesses, or to find a better AP access. [0003] According to the 802.11-2007 protocol, after the AP receives any STA scan, if there is a network that meets the access conditions of the STA, it should give a response. [0004] In this way, in a WLAN network, the scanning of each STA and the response of each AP to the scanning of each STA when it determines that there is a network that meets the access conditions of each STA will occupy a large amount of air interface resources, especially when there are few non-overlapping channels. In the 802....
