The preparation method comprises the steps of: taking rattan notoginseng, and adding 50-70% of ethanol solution into the rattan notoginseng, wherein the weight of the ethanol solution is 8-20 times heavier than that of the rattan notoginseng; heating and carrying out reflux extraction for 2-6h; filtering, taking filtrate, carrying out vacuum concentration until the product becomes thick paste; adding 50-70% of ethanol solution into the rattan notoginseng, wherein the weight of the ethanol solution is 0.2-0.5 time heavier than that of the rattan notoginseng; and evenly mixing to obtain the rattan notoginseng tincture. The rattan notoginseng tincture prepared by the method has good functions of dispelling wind and eliminating dampness, promoting blood circulation to remove meridian obstruction and relieving swelling and pain.
