The self-diagnostic system comprises a detection module connected with the injection molding machine, a parameter analysis module connected with the detection module, and a display module connected with the parameter analysis module. The self-diagnostic method comprises the following steps of: obtaining at least one performance parameter of the injection molding machine in real time, judging whether the performance parameter is in the respective preset range; and respectively displaying a judgment result of each performance parameter. According to the self-diagnostic system, the detection module is used for obtaining the performance parameter of the injection molding machine in real time, the parameter analysis module is used for judging whether the performance parameter is in the preset range, the display module is used for displaying the judgment result, and therefore, the self-diagnosis of injection molding machine failures is realized, and workers can easily know abnormal performance parameter of the current injection molding machine according to the displayed result, thus taking correspondingly measures.
