Abstract

The invention discloses a testing device and method for measuring wind drag of an automobile model. The device comprises a wind cylinder, a guide post and a dynamometer, wherein the wind cylinder comprises a front section, a middle section and a rear section which are sequentially butted with one another; a first guide sleeve and a movable door are arranged on the end wall of the front section; the bottom of the front section is provided with an air inlet; a second guide sleeve and an air outlet are arranged on the end wall of the rear section; the two ends of the guide post are arranged in the wind cylinder through the first guide sleeve and the second guide sleeve; a hook for fixing the automobile model is arranged on the guide post in the middle section; and the traction end of the guide post is connected with the dynamometer. The automobile model is blocked by simulated wind, and thrust generated by the simulated wind is transmitted to the guide post, so that the guide post moves to the axial direction of the rear section, and then data on the wind drag of the automobile model are measured by the dynamometer connected with the traction end.
